This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro was acquired by the seller approximately six years ago and is said to have undergone a five-year refurbishment that included modifying the exterior, interior, and powertrain with components from a late-model Camaro ZL1. The car is finished in black over matching leather and is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a 9″ rear end with a limited-slip differential. Features include an interior modified with the dashboard, steering wheel, seats, and center console from a 2014 Camaro ZL1 along with its exterior door handles and powered mirrors. Additional equipment includes front tubular control arms, QA1 coilovers, a four-link rear suspension, Wilwood brakes, keyless entry, Dakota Digital cruise control, a backup camera, Vintage Air A/C, and an infotainment system with navigation functionality. This modified Camaro is now offered with a clean Oklahoma title in the seller’s name.
The car was refinished in its current shade of black with silver stripes during the refurbishment. The body was modified with door handles and powered mirrors reportedly sourced from a 2014 Camaro, and additional features include LED exterior lighting, electronically operated RS-style headlight covers, ZL1 badging, and a cowl hood fitted with billet aluminum hinges.
Staggered Pro Wheels billet aluminum wheels measure 18″ and 19″ and are mounted with 225/40 front and 275/35 rear Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. The front suspension is equipped with tubular upper and lower control arms, and the rear features a four-link suspension with a Panhard bar. QA1 coilovers are fitted at all four corners. Braking is handled by Wildwood multi-piston calipers.
The cabin features power-adjustable seats that were reportedly sourced from a 2014 Camaro and are trimmed in black leather with microsuede inserts and red stitching. Additional components from a late-model Camaro that have been modified to fit consist of the dashboard and center console, while upholstered fiberglass door panels and a one-piece molded headliner are also equipped, according to the seller. Amenities include keyless entry, Dakota Digital cruise control, a backup camera, Vintage Air A/C, and a retrofitted infotainment system with navigation functionality. The lumbar support controls along with the heated and cooling functions for the front seats do not work.
The microsuede-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a central digital display. The seller notes that fault codes for equipment not installed on the car are displayed and cycle through at startup before the information screen can be accessed. Auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, voltage, and boost pressure are mounted in front of the shifter. The digital odometer indicates 13k miles, and approximately 500 miles have been added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8 is paired with a six-speed manual transmission, both of which are said to have been sourced from a 2014 Camaro ZL1. The engine is equipped with a modified air intake, an oil catch can, and a red engine cover. A graph showing the results of a dynamometer run is presented in the gallery below.
The seller notes that the car is equipped with a 9″ rear end and a limited-slip differential with a 3.50:1 final drive ratio. Additional photos of the underside are available in the gallery.
