This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was reportedly delivered new in blue over blue with both the RS and SS packages, and during prior ownership in 2016 the car was cosmetically refurbished and modified. The exterior was repainted in black with a matching vinyl roof, the interior was reupholstered in black with houndstooth inserts, and a 6.0-liter LS2 V8 was fitted along with a five-speed Tremec manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Further modifications include C5 Corvette-sourced brakes, a coilover suspension, aftermarket front control arms, 18″ wheels, Vintage Air climate control, and a Bluetooth-compatible stereo. The car subsequently earned awards at Goodguys shows in Nashville and Kentucky according to the seller, who purchased the car in 2019 and relocated it to British Columbia, Canada. This modified Camaro is now offered in Canada with partial records, aftermarket component manuals, and transferable British Columbia registration.
During prior ownership in 2016, the car was refinished from its factory blue to black with a matching vinyl roof. Equipment includes RS-specification headlight assemblies, front lip, and rear spoiler, and the car wears SS badges on the rear and sides as well as matte black stripes on the front fenders. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown up close in the photo gallery below.
Budnik 18″ wheels are finished in gray with a polished outer lip, and wear 245/40 front and 275/40 rear Nitto NT555 Extreme ZR tires. The braking system is modified with Corvette C5-sourced calipers, aluminum spindles, and cross-drilled rotors at each corner. The suspension is fitted with coilovers at each corner, Speedtech Performance tubular front control arms, and a four-link assembly with torque arms for the rear axle.
During the refurbishment in 2016, the interior color was changed to black, and it features houndstooth inserts on the seats as well as wood-veneer trim on the console and dashboard fascia. A Vintage Air climate control system with air conditioning was fitted, along with a Bluetooth-compatible stereo.
The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of replacement instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and an inset digital clock. The digital odometer shows just over 600 miles, which is said to indicate the mileage since completion of the project. Total mileage is unknown.
The 6.0-liter LS2 V8 transfers power through a five-speed Tremec TKO 600 manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end with a 3.73:1 limited-slip differential. A cold-start video is available here, and a number of receipts and manuals for aftermarket components will accompany the car.
In May 2020 the car was dynamometer-tuned following fitment of catalytic converters and wide-band O2 sensors. Paperwork indicates that the car produced 377 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels.
The seller states that a stainless-steel baffled fuel tank has been installed, and additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
Walk-around footage is provided above, and an in-car driving video is viewable below. An additional walk-around video with the car running can be viewed at this link.
