This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is said to have left the Norwood, Ohio GM plant in November 1968 and is powered by a 350ci V8 mated to a Saginaw four-speed manual transmission. The current owner acquired the car twelve years ago in its current configuration, reportedly following an SS-style refurbishment which included a repaint in Hugger Orange as well as houndstooth seat upholstery. Other modifications include power-assisted steering and front disc brakes, a Hurst shifter, auxiliary gauges, and more. An April 2019 service consisted of resealing the transmission as well as mounting new tires, installing a fresh battery, an oil change, and wiring repairs. This Camaro is offered on consignment by the selling dealer in North Carolina with a reprinted owner’s manual, an indoor car cover, records since 2017, and a clean South Carolina title.
The car was given a color change from Le Mans Blue to Hugger Orange with black fender stripes at some point during previous ownership, and is fitted with front and rear spoilers, fog lights, and an SS hood with corresponding springs.
Silver 15″x7″ rally wheels wear polished beauty rings and are mounted with fresh BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted discs up front and drums out back, and the car is equipped with power steering.
The seats have been reupholstered in black vinyl with houndstooth inserts. A Hurst shifter and an aftermarket AM/FM cassette deck have been fitted, and AutoMeter gauges for water temperature and oil pressure are mounted to the underside of the dashboard.
A wood-rimmed three spoke steering wheel fronts a set of factory gauges, which include an odometer displaying just over 40k miles. Total mileage is unknown. The fuel gauge is noted as inaccurate.
The 350ci V8 was fitted with a four-barrel Quadrajet carburetor, Edelbrock manifold, ribbed rocker covers, and an electronic ignition system under previous ownership. Recent service is said to have included replacement of the battery, an oil change, and wiring repairs in April 2019.
Four-into-one headers feed the dual exhaust system. A four-speed Saginaw manual transmission was recently resealed according to the selling dealer and routes power through a date-coded 3.31:1 open differential. Additional underbody photographs are viewable in the gallery below.
According to the selling dealer, the cowl tag denotes car was constructed at the Fisher body plant in Norwood, Ohio, originally came with a V8, and was finished in Le Mans Blue over a black interior. Driving and walk-around videos can be seen below.
