This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 sport coupe underwent a refurbishment that was completed in 2016 and included the installation of a replacement 396ci V8 and a refinish in black with silver stripes. The car is equipped with a three-speed automatic transmission, a Holley Quick Fuel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, an MSD ignition system, a Powermaster alternator, 17″ Rally-style wheels, a Hydratech hydraulic brake assist system, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, Koni shocks, Global West tubular front control arms, rear coil springs, aftermarket trailing arms, a center console, and a RetroSound stereo. This Chevelle is now offered on dealer consignment with recent service records, the removed 396ci engine, the removed front seat and steering wheel, an additional set of wheels, and a clean Oregon title.

The aftermarket 17″ Rally-style wheels wheels are mounted with 225/50 front and 245/50 rear Yokohama AVID ENVigor tires. Braking is handled by a Hydratech hydraulic brake assist system and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes. Koni shocks, Global West tubular front control arms, rear coil springs, and aftermarket trailing arms are fitted. The removed set of wheels is included in the sale.
The cabin is trimmed in black and features C5 Corvette-style front bucket seats, a RetroSound stereo, a refurbished dashboard and door panels, and an aftermarket center console with storage and cupholders.
An aftermarket steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, a fuel gauge, and indicator lights. The five-digit odometer shows 10k miles, and total mileage is unknown. AutoGage oil pressure, temperature, and voltage gauges mounted under the dash.
The replacement 396ci crate engine was installed under current ownership and is equipped with a Moroso air cleaner assembly, a Holley Quick Fuel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, an MSD ignition system, and a Powermaster alternator. Compression test results are shown in the gallery.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Turbo Hydra-Matic three-speed automatic transmission. A Perfect Launch differential cover and a Flowmaster exhaust system are fitted.
