This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe is powered by a replacement 350ci V8 equipped with FiTech electronic fuel injection, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Moroso oil pan, long-tube headers, and electric exhaust cutouts, and its four-speed automatic transmission is linked to a 12-bolt rear axle with Positraction. Finished in red with black stripes and black vinyl upholstery, the car is further equipped with 17″ REV wheels, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, Bilstein shock absorbers, Dakota Digital instrumentation, a Custom Autosound digital radio, and Vintage Air climate control in addition to an an Accel HEI distributor, a Hyperfuel fuel pump, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. Modified under previous ownership and acquired by the seller in 2023, this Chevelle Malibu is now offered at no reserve with a transferable New York registration document in the name of the seller’s company.
Finished from the factory in Matador Red (R) with a black vinyl roof, the car was repainted in its current shade of red with black stripes on the hood and trunk lid during prior ownership. Exterior details include chrome-finished bumpers, hood pins and vents, dual mirrors, and SS emblems. Images of chips, cracks, and bubbles in the paint can be viewed up close in the gallery below.
This is a relist after the vehicle was previously sold on BaT in February 2024 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winner’s participation on BaT has been restricted and their buyer’s fee was not refunded.

Chrome-finished 17″ REV alloy wheels are mounted with 235/45 front and 285/40 rear Nitto NT555 Extreme ZR tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The suspension has been lowered and features Bilstein shock absorbers, front and rear sway bars, and BMR rear control arms with polyurethane bushings.
The interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench seat trimmed in black vinyl upholstery and joined by a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. SS-logo floor mats line the footwells, and equipment includes a Vintage Air climate-control system, a Custom Autosound digital radio, SS 396 dashboard trim, and a FiTech display and control interface.
The split-spoke steering wheel fronts Dakota Digital instrumentation consisting of an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, digital readouts, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer indicates 33k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added under current ownership.
The replacement 350ci V8 was installed under prior ownership and features a FiTech Easy-Street electronic fuel-injection system, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, an Accel HEI distributor, and long-tube exhaust headers. A Summit racing vacuum pump was installed, as was a Hypertune fuel pump and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The rear main seal was reportedly replaced under prior ownership along with the intake manifold and valve cover gaskets.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle with a Positraction differential. The dual exhaust system features an H-pipe and electronic cutouts. A replacement fuel tank was installed, and the differential was resealed under prior ownership.
