This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Concours Estate was sold new at Washburn Chevrolet in Santa Barbara, California, and received a mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment prior to the seller’s acquisition in February 2022. Work included installing a 350ci V8 mated to a replacement four-speed automatic transmission, and refinishing the body in white with replacement vinyl faux-wood trim over gray cloth seats. Additional equipment includes power steering, power-assisted brakes, 15″ Rally-style wheels, an aluminum radiator, an Edelbrock air cleaner, a Powermaster alternator, polished valve covers, a roof rack, air conditioning, power windows including the rear, and a retro-style stereo. This Chevelle Concours is now offered with a Protect-O-Plate and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.
The car left the factory finished in Ermine White and was refinished and fitted with replacement vinyl faux-wood trim under previous ownership. Exterior details include a roof rack, tinted windows, SS badging, bright bumpers and trim, and dual exhaust outlets.
Rally-style 15″ wheels wear polished hubcaps and trim rings and are mounted with 235/70 Grand Prix Performance GT tires. A spare tire is mounted in the rear cargo compartment. The car is equipped with power steering and power-assisted drum brakes.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats that have been re-trimmed in gray cloth upholstery. Appointments include air conditioning, lap belts, power windows including the rear, rear under-floor storage, and a retro-style stereo. Wear is evident on the door panels.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and a combination auxiliary gauge with an inset clock. A tachometer and additional gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature are mounted beneath the dash. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 45k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 was installed under previous ownership and features an aluminum radiator, Edelbrock air cleaner, aluminum Chevrolet-branded valve covers, and a Powermaster alternator. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
The Protect-O-Plate showing initial delivery to Washburn Chevrolet in Santa Barbara California is included in the sale.
