This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro convertible was manufactured in the Norwood, Ohio plant and is said to have been purchased new by the seller’s in-laws. Finished in green over gold vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car underwent a refurbishment in 2014 that included a repaint, an engine refresh, and replacement of the top and interior components. Features include a black convertible top, 14″ Rally wheels, the RS package, chrome bumpers and trim, custom bucket seats, woodgrain accents, and astro ventilation. This Camaro is now offered with refurbishment photos and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
Originally finished in Sequoia Green, the Fisher-built body was refinished during the aforementioned 2014 refurbishment, at which time the power-operated black convertible top was replaced. Equipment includes chrome bumpers and wheel-arch trim along with the RS package, which integrated headlight doors and modified taillights as well as enhanced trim and RS badges. Chips in the paint are shown in the photo gallery below.
14″ Rally wheels wear polished hubcaps and beauty rings and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with power steering.
The interior is trimmed in gold vinyl with matching panels and carpeting. The custom bucket seats are said to have been replaced during the refurbishment, and additional features include a console, woodgrain accents, fresh air “Astro” ventilation, and a passenger grab handle. Blemishes in the interior panels are shown in the gallery, the AM radio is inoperable, and the steering wheel is cracked.
Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 92k miles.
The 327ci V8 is said to have been rebuilt and repainted during the refurbishment.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery.
