This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro was restored in 2021, subsequently acquired by the selling dealer, and then modified in 2022. It is powered by a GM Performance ZZ502 V8 crate engine and equipped with an American Powertrain T56 six-speed manual transmission, 12-bolt Positraction rear end, Holley Sniper fuel injection, 18″ US Mag wheels, Right Stuff four-wheel disc brakes, QA1 front suspension, Calvert Racing rear suspension components, an RS-style front end, a Custom Autosound stereo, and a Flowmaster exhaust system. The bodywork has been refinished in metallic dark green and the cabin has been reupholstered in black vinyl with houndstooth inserts. Acquired by the selling dealer for a second time in 2024, this Camaro is now offered with an information binder, invoices, a car cover, a battery tender, and a clean Colorado title.
The body was repainted in metallic dark green with white stripes following the replacement of the hood, fenders, and doors. The front bumper, front spoiler, door handles, stainless trim, lower moldings, taillight bezels, and taillight lenses were also replaced. Exterior details include a white vinyl roof, an RS-style front end, Detroit Speed electric headlight covers, and sequential taillights.
The 18″ US Mag Rambler wheels are wrapped in 245/40 fronts and 275/40 rear Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. The independent front suspension features QA1 adjustable coilovers and a sway bar while the rear end is equipped with Calvert Racing two-piece leaf springs, nine-way adjustable shocks, and CalTracs traction bars. The car is also equipped with power steering and Right Stuff four-wheel disc brakes with 11.1″ slotted rotors.
The replacement seats are upholstered in black vinyl with houndstooth inserts and were fitted in 2022. Additional interior features include an American Powertrain shifter, Camaro floor mats, and a Custom Autosound stereo with Bluetooth connectivity.
The three-spoke Billet Specialties steering wheel frames Dakota Digital instrumentation. A Holley Sniper EFI controller is fitted below the center stack. The digital odometer shows 521 miles.
The GM Performance ZZ502 V8 crate engine was purchased and installed during the refurbishment and is fitted with a Holley Sniper fuel injection system, CVF billet pulleys, ICT brackets, and a Tuff Stuff Performance water pump as well as a Griffith aluminum radiator with SPAL dual electric fans and Flowmaster tubular exhaust headers. The firewall, inner fenders, and radiator support have been painted in satin black.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement American Powertrain T56 six-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt Positraction rear end with 3.73:1 gearing. The car is fitted with an upgraded cross-member, QuickTime bell housing, McLeod twin-disc clutch as well as a Flowmaster exhaust system. The fuel tank has been refreshed and the fuel lines replaced.
