This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro was sold new at Jack Carter Chevrolet in Calgary, Alberta and has reportedly been in Ontario since 1985, spending the last 18 years with the seller. The car received a color change to Arrival Blue with white stripes under current ownership, and its replacement 350ci V8 is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Additional modifications include a cowl-induction hood, a rear spoiler, an aftermarket stereo, AutoMeter gauges, an Edelbrock carburetor, exhaust headers, and more. This Camaro is offered in Canada with spare parts and Ontario registration in the seller’s name.
The seller states that the body was originally Corvette Bronze and had been finished in red prior to his acquisition 18 years ago. A color change to the current GM Arrival Blue with clear coats was carried out under current ownership. The left door, right front fender, and hood were reportedly replaced using new old-stock parts, while aftermarket replacements were sourced for the quarter panels and the trunk drop-offs. Corrosion can be seen on the rear corners of the doors, and the seller notes a bubble on top of the left quarter panel as well as dings on the roof and driver’s door.
White stripes, a cowl-induction hood, a trunk spoiler, and SS badges have been added along with chrome wheel arch moldings and rocker trim. Chevrolet Rallye wheels wear polished hubcaps, trim rings, and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with power-assisted steering and brakes.
The interior is trimmed in black vinyl and features bucket seats split by a full-length console as well as replacement door panels, carpets, kick plates, and weatherstripping.
A factory AM radio remains in the dash, while an aftermarket stereo in the glovebox is wired to speakers in the front kick panels and rear package shelf. AutoMeter Phantom gauges have been mounted in the center console and stock cluster housing, and the five-digit odometer shows approximately 1,000 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 is a replacement that is said to have been rebuilt, though supporting documentation is not included. The engine reportedly features a decked 1969-1970 block and an aftermarket camshaft as well as an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold, finned rocker covers, and headers feeding a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The seller notes an oil smell when the engine is cold.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. An additional underbody photo can be seen in the gallery, and the seller has provided walk-around and engine compartment videos below.
