This 1967 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova coupe is said to have been in the same family since the early 1970s, having been passed down from the seller’s grandmother to her son in the mid-1990s before the seller received the car in 1998. A non-running replacement 327ci V8 is installed in the engine bay and is mated to a replacement two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The car was repainted in green under current ownership, and additional work performed by the seller has included rechroming the bumpers, installing replacement drum brakes, and raising the rear suspension. This non-running Nova project is now offered at no reserve with the removed factory 283ci engine block, assorted spare parts, and a clean Washington title in the seller’s name.
Originally finished in Butternut Yellow (Y), the car was repainted in its current shade of metallic green in 1999. The seller states that the passenger-side quarter panel received bodywork in 2000 after being struck while parked. Exterior features include Nova and Chevy II badging, bright side trim and rocker panels, and bumpers that were rechromed approximately 20 years ago. The seller notes that the finish exhibits fading, scratches, bubbling, and peeling, as well as an area of corrosion on the passenger door, and other imperfections. The windshield is cracked. Close-up photos of the exterior are provided in the gallery below.
Black-painted 14″ steel wheels with polished hubcaps are wrapped in 195/70 Arizonian Silver Edition whitewall tires. The seller reports that the drum brakes have been replaced and that the rear end of the car has been raised two inches.
The black vinyl covers on both bench seats are ripped, and the foam padding is exposed; the door panels also are in need of repair. The passenger-side front floor pan exhibits rust and is said to require replacement, and the seller notes that the trunk has a rusted-out area approximately three inches in diameter. The carpeting in the front footwells is worn through. An Ungo Box alarm system has been installed, and an aftermarket CD stereo has been mounted below the dashboard with a detachable faceplate, though the seller notes that the LCD display is inoperable.
A three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer displays just over 64k miles, approximately 10k of which have been added by the seller.
A replacement 327ci V8 was installed under current ownership and is said to have been rebuilt. The seller states that the car has been garaged and not driven for the past 20 years. The disassembled factory 283ci engine is included in the sale and pictured in the gallery below.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a non-original two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Additional photos showing the suspension, the chassis, and underbody corrosion are presented in the gallery below.
