This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport is finished in Marina Blue over black vinyl upholstery and powered by a 396ci V8 paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a 12-bolt rear axle with a 3.31:1 differential as well as 14″ Rally-style wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, chrome trim, front bucket seats, a center console, an Equus auxiliary gauge, and a Hurst shifter. The car was reportedly refurbished under prior ownership and was acquired by the seller in October 2021. This Chevelle SS is now offered with a clean Iowa title in the seller’s name.
The door skins and quarter panels are said to have been replaced before the body was repainted in its current shade of Marina Blue as part of a refurbishment completed under prior ownership. Exterior equipment includes a driver-side mirror, Super Sport and 396 badging, a black rear fascia, and chrome trim on the grille, bumpers, rocker panels, wheel arches, and window surrounds.
Rally-style 14″ wheels wear trim rings and center caps along with 215/70 Maxxis narrow-whitewall tires. A spare wheel is stored in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering and front and rear sway bars. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The front bucket and rear bench seats are upholstered in black vinyl, while polished trim accents the dashboard fascia. Appointments include a center console, a Hurst shifter, a console-mounted analog clock, and bright door sill guards. The radio does not function.
The three-spoke steering wheel features an SS center emblem and fronts a 120-mph speedometer and supplementary gauges showing fuel level, battery status, and coolant temperature. An additional Equus gauge mounted beneath the dashboard displays coolant temperature. The seller notes the oil pressure gauge does not function. The five-digit odometer shows under 56k miles, approximately 250 of which have been added since the refurbishment was completed. Total mileage is unknown.
The 396ci V8 was reportedly bored 0.030″ and overhauled as part of the refurbishment completed under prior ownership. Details include a four-barrel carburetor and an orange-painted block, intake manifold, and cylinder heads along with a chrome air cleaner cover and valve covers.
The engine casting stamp and serial number are shown above.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle housing a 3.31:1 differential. A Gardner dual exhaust system is fitted and exits behind each rear wheel.
