This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible was delivered new to Beny Chevrolet of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, and was acquired by the current owner in 2019. Subsequent work consisted of sheet metal repairs and repainting the car in Butternut Yellow. The car is powered by a replacement 283ci V8 linked with a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Features include a power-operated black convertible top, an SS-style hood, black vinyl upholstery, a push-button AM radio, a center console, power windows, power-assisted steering and brakes, 15″ Rally wheels, an HEI distributor, and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. This Chevelle is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner in Canada with a General Motors of Canada build datasheet, refurbishment photos, and British Columbia registration.
The car left the factory finished in Butternut Yellow (Y) and sheet metal repairs are said to have been completed before it was repainted under current ownership. Features include a power-operated black convertible top, an SS-style hood, bright bodyside moldings, Malibu and Chevelle badging, dual mirrors, chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets that exit below the rear bumper. There is a tear in the plastic rear window that is covered by clear tape.
Silver 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings and center caps and are mounted with 225/70 Toyo Extensa A/S tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted drums at all four corners.
The front bucket and rear bench seats are upholstered in black vinyl and are joined by color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a center console, an analog clock, a cabin heater, woodgrain trim accents, lap belts for all occupants, bright door sill guards, and a Delco push-button AM radio.
The three-spoke steering wheel has an SS horn button and frames a horizontally sweeping 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 61k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 283ci V8 was installed under prior ownership and features a black air cleaner assembly and an HEI distributor. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. A dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers has been installed. Corrosion is visible on underbody components.
The General Motors of Canada build datasheet shows a December 14, 1966 production date and lists equipment and colors.
Photos taken during the repainting process are shown in the gallery.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a province that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on its British Columbia registration.
