This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro coupe is finished in blue over matching vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a two-speed automatic transmission. Features include bright trim and bumpers, body-color 14″ steel wheels, front bucket seats, and a Delco AM radio. The car was sold new by Ed Black’s Chevrolet of Albuquerque, New Mexico in July 1967, and the seller acquired the vehicle in July 2021 from a body shop that is said to have bought it from the original owner in 2008. This first-year Camaro is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, seat covers, 1967 registration paperwork, the warranty Protect-O-Plate, and a clean New Mexico title in the seller’s name. All proceeds from the sale—including the BaT buyer’s fee—will go to Be The Difference, a non-profit organization that focuses on autism and mental-health disorders.
The body is finished in Nantucket Blue (D) with white nose striping and is said to have been repainted in 1969 under factory warranty. Features include bright trim and bumpers, a left-side mirror, and side moldings. The paint shows fading, and the body exhibits scratches and blemishes throughout as well as a dent in the left rear fender and cracking in the seals and weatherstripping. Corrosion is noted behind the passenger-side rear tire.
Body-color 14″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with 205/75 Uniroyal Tiger Paw whitewall tires showing 2021 date codes. The car is equipped with drum brakes at all four corners.
The cabin is trimmed in blue vinyl with a matching dash, door panels, and carpeting. Features include front bucket seats, vent windows, lap belts, a lockable glovebox, and a Delco AM radio. Tears are shown in the front seats and the door panels, the rear shelf is deteriorated, and photos showing the carpets with the seats removed are presented in the gallery below.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 95k miles; true mileage is unknown.
The 327ci V8 features a red-finished block and valve covers. Service under current ownership is said to have included replacement of the distributor, spark plugs, plug wires, ignition coil, and battery.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
Manufacturer’s literature, the Protect-O-Plate, an Albuquerque map, 1967 registration paperwork, and other manuals are included in the sale. Be The Difference is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Bosque Farms, New Mexico that is dedicated to spreading “awareness for individuals with autism and mental-health disorders in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts.”
