This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS convertible was delivered new to Chevrolet Engineering and is said to have remained in storage from 1981 until its acquisition in 2007 by the seller, who commissioned a multi-year refurbishment that was completed in 2016. Finished in Bolero Red over red vinyl, the car is powered by a numbers-matching 350ci V8 paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. Additional features include the Rally Sport equipment package, the Z23 Interior Decor package, a power-operated soft top, a push-button AM/FM radio, center console, hideaway headlights, and 14” Rally wheels with chrome trim rings and hubcaps. This Camaro RS/SS is being offered with an NCRS Shipping Data Report, a Protect-O-Plate, manufacturer’s literature, service records from current ownership, and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.
The car received a single-stage repaint in the factory shade of Bolero Red (R), reportedly following the installation of replacement quarter panels and front floors. The Super Sport package added non-functional hood vents, nose striping, and exterior badging on the fenders, grille, and fuel cap, while the Rally Sport package included vacuum-operated headlight covers, lower side moldings, and black trim. A rear fender-mounted antenna and remote-operated driver’s side-view mirror are fitted, and the seller reports that a ceramic coating has been applied to the paintwork.
Silver-finished 14″ Rally wheels wear polished trim rings and hubcaps and are mounted with Firestone redline tires. A full-size spare is found in the trunk.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in red vinyl with black accents and a matching replacement dashboard, door panels, and loop carpets protected by Camaro-branded floor mats. The car was optioned with a center console from the factory, and additional amenities include lap belts for all occupants, a push-button AM/FM radio, and a locking glovebox.
A wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilt steering column and frames a 120-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. A trio of auxiliary instrumentation in the center console includes an analog clock and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer was reset to zero during the refurbishment and now shows 7k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 was factory rated at 295 horsepower, which is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission, which was installed in place of the factory Powerglide automatic gearbox. An oil change was performed in 2021, and an oil leak is noted by the seller.
Engine block stamping 117014 shown above matches the last six digits of the chassis number viewable in the gallery below. The MU suffix to the right indicates a 350ci 295 horsepower V8 for automatic transmission applications.
A custom 3” exhaust system has been installed, and additional underbody images are provided in the gallery.
