This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro is a four-speed example equipped with the Z22 Rally Sport, Z23, and SS packages. The car reportedly underwent a refurbishment by the seller following his purchase in 2017, with work including a rebuild of the replacement 327ci V8, a new clutch, and more. Features include a Positraction rear end, 15″ Rallye wheels, and more as described below. This Camaro RS/SS is now offered with a transferable Connecticut registration in the seller’s name.
Originally finished from the factory in Bolero Red (RR), the car was given a color change by the previous owner to the current black color. Imperfections noted by the seller include orange peel and waviness in the finish. The Z22 Rally Sport package featured concealed headlights with a different grille, turn signals mounted within the front valance, and back-up lights under the rear bumper.
15″ Rallye wheels retain chrome rings and hub covers and are wrapped in BFGoodrich Silvertown redline tires that display 2018 date codes.
Bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl (765-Z) accompanied by a color-keyed dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. An aftermarket steering wheel is equipped, a set of accessory gauges is fitted within the center console, and a period cassette player is paired with speakers installed on the rear parcel shelf. Imperfections noted by the seller include an indentation to the the passenger door cap along the base of the window.
Interior materials, equipment, and instrumentation are further shown in the gallery. Approximately 28k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer.
The replacement 327ci V8 was rebuilt by the seller and is paired with a four-speed Muncie manual transmission and a Positraction rear end. The engine stampings read VII08EB and 3892657 and are shown up close in the gallery below.
Additional work completed following the seller’s purchase is said to have included a installation of a new fuel tank and lines as well as the fitment of a new clutch.
