This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS coupe was acquired by the seller in 2021 and was subsequently refurbished and modified over a two-year period. Work consisted of replacing the floor and body panels, painting the car in black, rewiring the vehicle, and installing TMI front bucket seats, Ridetech suspension components, and power-assisted Wilwood six-piston disc brakes. The drivetrain was replaced with a modified 396ci V8, a TCI Automotive Super StreetFighter TH400 transmission, and a Moser 12-bolt rear axle with a limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes a white nose stripe, RS badging, a rear spoiler, hideaway LED headlights, 18″ Rally-style wheels, a Kenwood audio system, MSD ignition components, and an Edelbrock intake manifold, carburetor, and aluminum cylinder heads. This modified Camaro was previously listed on BaT in October 2023 and is now offered in Canada with refurbishment photos, service records, and British Columbia registration.
The body was finished in black with a white nose stripe during the recent refurbishment. Also noted at that time was the installation of an RS grille and badging, LED headlights, a rear spoiler, and an electronic wiper motor and headlight doors as well as a replacement roof, floors, radiator support, rocker panels, wheel wells, torque boxes, rear bumper, window moldings, bulbs, lenses, and all windows.
Gray 18″ Rally-style wheels wear chrome center caps and polished lips and are mounted with 255/40 General Altimax RT45 tires up front and 285/35 Sailwin Sportway 56 rubber out back. Work under current ownership included installing Ridetech components consisting of a Complete coilover front suspension system, a TruTurn steering system, a triangulated four-link rear suspension, bolt-in subframe connectors, and HQ double-adjustable rear coilovers. Braking is handled by a Wilwood brake booster, master cylinder, proportioning valve, and six-piston calipers over drilled and slotted 12.8″ rotors at all four corners.
The cabin features TMI Products bolstered front bucket seats upholstered in black leather and microsuede with white accent stripes along with a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl. Equipment includes a center console, a heater/defroster, an 8-Ball shifter knob, and a Kenwood stereo and speakers. Work under current ownership is said to have consisted of installing the inner dashboard structure, sound-deadening material, and an American Autowire wiring harness, while the carpeting, door panels, radio, speakers, door handles, springs, locks, window cranks, seat brackets, and seat foam were also replaced. An Optima battery is mounted in the trunk.
The aftermarket Flaming River leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames AutoMeter Pro-Comp Ultralite instrumentation consisting of a GPS 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 800 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 396ci V8 was installed under current ownership and was reportedly fitted with a SCAT crankshaft and connecting rods, a COMP Cams hydraulic roller camshaft and aluminum roller rocker arms, an SA Gear billet timing set, a Melling oil pump, Wiseco forged pistons, and Clevite bearings. Additional features include a March Performance serpentine drive system, a Meziere electric water pump, tubular exhaust headers, and an MSD digital ignition system, spark plug wires, and coil packs as well as an Edelbrock intake manifold, 850-cfm carburetor, and aluminum cylinder heads. The radiator support, hood hinges, fuel lines with AN fittings, and inner wheel wells are said to have been replaced under current ownership, and a BeCool aluminum radiator, Rick’s Tanks stainless steel fuel tank, and Derale cooling fans have also been fitted.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TCI Automotive Super StreetFighter TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a Moser Engineering 12-bolt rear axle with a limited-slip differential and Auburn 3.73:1 gears. A dual exhaust system with an X-pipe and Dynomax mufflers has been installed.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a province that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on its British Columbia registration.
