This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS was acquired by the seller in 2019, after which a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment was completed. Metal repair was performed and the body was refinished in its factory Butternut yellow, the black soft top was replaced, and a 350ci V8 crate engine was installed and mated to its rebuilt two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Additional service included installation of a tubular front suspension, four-wheel power-assisted disc brakes, a new wiring harness with an updated fuse box, and new 15″ Rally wheels with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, and equipment includes an RS-specific black grille with hidden headlights, front and rear spoilers, a black deluxe vinyl interior, power steering, bucket seats, a center console, and an electronic ignition system. This Camaro RS convertible is now offered with refurbishment receipts and photos as well as a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.
The seller states that following their acquisition the car was stripped, including removal and powder coating of the subframes. Sheet metal work is said to have included installation of a replacement floor pan, trunk pan, door hinges, rear quarter panels, deck lid, taillight panel, lower valance, radiator support, and cowl-style hood, after which the car was refinished in its factory Butternut Yellow (Y). The power-operated soft top was refurbished with new fabric and a replacement motor and cylinder, and a replacement chrome bumper was also installed. The RS-specific grille features hidden headlights, the motors, relays, and assemblies for which are said to have been refurbished with updated components and that can be seen operating in this video. Additional exterior equipment includes front-valance-mounted turn signals, RS badges, front and rear spoilers, and back-up lights located beneath the rear bumper. An additional exterior lighting video is presented here.
New 15″ Rally wheels were installed by the seller and wear polished trim rings and Chevrolet center caps along with 215/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The seller also installed a tubular front suspension along with a new brake booster, brake lines, and a master cylinder for the four-wheel disc brakes, and the car is also equipped with power steering.
The interior features factory deluxe black vinyl with cream accent stripes covering the seats, along with matching door panels and carpets. Amenities include a full-length center console with a shifter handle, floor mats, a locking glove box, and bright door and window handles. The seller states a new Painless wiring harness was installed including a new and updated fuse panel visible in the gallery below.
The factory three-spoke RS steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 9,600 miles, with true mileage unknown.
The seller fitted a 350ci small-block Chevrolet V8 crate engine, which is equipped with a Rochester four-barrel carburetor, an aluminum intake manifold, factory exhaust manifolds, and an open-element air cleaner. The seller states a distributor with an electronic ignition system, a new battery, and an alternator with an integrated voltage regulator were installed, along with replacement of the radiator support, fuel lines, and fuel tank sender. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a refurbished Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission.
The subframes are said to have been powder-coated black and reinstalled with new bushings during the refurbishment process. Additional underside photos and photos of the refurbishment process are presented in the gallery below.
