This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS underwent a multi-year modification and refurbishment process after the seller’s 2013 acquisition. The build was featured at the 2016 SEMA show, and it was a Goodguys 2018 Muscle Machine of the Year Finalist and detailed in Super Chevy and Camaro Performers Magazine. It is finished in Porsche Graphite Grey with hideaway headlights, LED lighting, and a rear spoiler with an integrated brake light. Power is provided by a 6.2-liter LS3 crate V8 equipped with a revised camshaft, intake manifold, and valve springs, and it sends approximately 500 horsepower to the rear wheels through a Tremec Magnum six-speed manual transmission and a Currie 9″ rear axle with 3.50:1 gears. The car rides on an Art Morrison front subframe, a four-link rear setup, and Viking double-adjustable coilovers, and the 18″ Forgeline wheels are fitted over unassisted Wilwood disc brakes. Cabin treatments include a roll bar, a TMI Products one-piece fiberglass headliner and seats, Impact harnesses, and Vintage Air climate control. This modified Camaro RS is offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The body was refinished in the Porsche shade of Graphite Grey (7B2) by Best of Show Coachworks of Escondido, California, and it features a cowl hood, a front air dam, electric hideaway headlights, Porsche RS-style badging, LED taillights, a Rain Gear wiper system, and a rear spoiler with an integrated third brake light. A stereo system is not installed.
The MOMO microsuede-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to a Flaming River column and frames Classic Instruments autoXcross gauges including a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary readouts. The odometer shows 10k miles, which is said to represent the mileage added since the build was completed. Total mileage is unknown.
The hood opens on Eddie Motorsports billet hinges to reveal a 6.2-liter LS3 crate V8 that was installed in 2016 and fitted with a high-performance camshaft and valve springs as well as a FAST 102mm intake manifold and Granatelli coils. An AutoRad aluminum radiator and dual electric fans provide cooling, and Energy Suspension engine and transmission mounts are fitted.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec Magnum six-speed manual transmission with a Ram clutch kit, a QuickTime bell housing, and Wilwood clutch hydraulics. The narrowed Currie 9″ rear end is equipped with a limited-slip differential, 31-spline axles, and 3.50:1 gears, and the seller reports 80-mph cruising is achieved at approximately 2,400-rpm in sixth gear.
