This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS was purchased new at Valley Motors in Indio, California and was driven by a student while attending UCLA. After a brief stint at grad school in Tennessee it was returned to California where it was eventually stored for many years and was sold one year and 10 miles ago to the current seller. It is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a 2-speed Powerglide Automatic Transmission and was recently serviced with a tune-up and oil change. The car was optioned with the Rally Sport and Deluxe Interior packages. This Camaro comes with the original California Black Plates, window sticker, all owners manuals, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
Repainted once in the correct Emerald Turquoise back in 1981, the finish is now dull but still presentable. The seller notes that while it is a very straight and accident-free car, there is a small rust spot on the lower right corner of the rear window. All correct RS badging is present and white stripe tires wear original wheel covers. The seller points out that there is minor pitting on the bumpers and some trim, a rear mudflap is cracked, and the driver’s side headlamp trim is missing. The power headlamp doors are reported to function.
The Deluxe Interior Package featured white vinyl seats with black accents which are still in very good condition. Options include power steering, four-season A/C, GM air injector reaction, push-button AM radio, and an electric clock. An accessory temperature gauge and a hidden glove-box kill switch were installed. 26k miles are shown, and the odometer is believed to have rolled over once.
The 327ci V8 is coupled with a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and is reported to run well. Purchased by the seller one year ago, it was treated at that time to a basic tuneup with an oil change. The seller notes a slow but persistent transmission oil drip.
Purchased new from Valley Motors in Indio California, the original owner used it to commute to classes while attending UCLA. Period parking permit decals can still be seen on the rear bumper.
All owners books are included along with the original window sticker and the first owner’s handwritten mileage log.
