This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro race car was campaigned in Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts events in the Pacific Northwest during the 1990s and 2000s, and it was acquired by the current owner in 2004. The car is powered by a 302ci V8 that utilizes a Crower crankshaft, iron heads, a Z/28-style intake manifold, a Lunati camshaft, pistons, and rods, and a Barry Grant carburetor, and further drivetrain equipment is comprised of a four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end with an Eaton differential and Dutchman axles. It wears a Hugger Orange finish with white stripes and door numbers, and exterior details include front and rear spoilers, rear window braces, and bullet-style mirrors. The race-prepped cabin features a full cage with door bars along with fixed-back racing seats, a Simpson harness for the driver, AutoMeter instrumentation, and a Hurst shifter. This Camaro race car is now offered on dealer consignment in Arizona at no reserve with log books, records, and Washington state title.
The exterior wears a Hugger Orange finish with white rally stripes and 13 graphics on the doors. Additional details include a front air dam, a cowl-induction hood, bullet-style mirrors, a rear spoiler, rear window braces, recovery hooks, and locking hood and decklid pins. The headlights and windows have been removed.
The car rides on adjustable Koni shocks along with JL8 spindles, modified front springs, Landrum rear leaf springs, polyurethane bushings, and front and rear sway bars. Eight-spoke 15″ wheels are mounted with Caldera Confidence tires. Braking is handled by Corvette-specification unassisted four-wheel discs with slotted rotors.
The race-prepped cabin houses a Sparco fixed-back seat with a Simpson harness for the driver, while a low-back racing bucket is fitted for the passenger. A roll cage with door bars is installed along with a wink mirror, a Hurst shifter, and a fire extinguisher. A 15-gallon fuel cell with a Holley pump and filter is mounted beneath the trunk floor.
The removable steering wheel fronts an aluminum gauge bezel that houses an AutoMeter tachometer, fuel gauge, and water-filled readouts for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and oil pressure. No odometer is present, and the total mileage is unknown.
The 302ci V8 utilizes a steel block and was assembled with a Crower crankshaft and rockers along with a Lunati camshaft, pistons, and connecting rods. Further equipment includes ported iron cylinder heads, a ported Z/28-specification intake manifold, a Moroso oil pan, a Setrab oil cooler, a high-torque starter, and Stahl headers that flow to Lobak mufflers. The engine breathes through a Barry Grant 750-cfm carburetor, and cooling is provided by a Griffin aluminum radiator, an Edelbrock water pump, and an electric fan.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission equipped with a Ram clutch kit, and the 12-bolt rear end is fitted with an Eaton limited-slip differential, an aluminum cover, Dutchman 31-spline axles, a Ford-style C-clip eliminator kit, and 3.91:1 gears.
The current Washington state title bears an Antique brand.
