This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was the subject of a refurbishment and custom modifications under prior ownership that included the installation of a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The car has been refinished in black over black, and equipment includes painted 16″ rally-style wheels, Wilwood disc brakes, Hotchkis suspension components, CalTracs traction bars, and an RS-style grille and headlights as well as air conditioning, power windows, power locks, an alarm, and an aftermarket sound system. The selling dealer acquired the car in early 2021, and it was previously listed on BaT in July 2022. This modified Camaro is now offered in New York with a clean California title.
The car has been refinished in black and features a front air dam, a cowl hood, a rear spoiler, RS badging, and an RS-style grille and headlight assemblies. The selling dealer notes rust bubbling near the lower right-rear wheel well as well as paint chips on the front panels.
Black-finished 16″ Rally-style wheels are mounted with 225/50 Falken front tires and 255/50 Toyo rear tires. The suspension has been modified with tubular front control arms, Hotchkis front springs and rear shocks, Bilstein front shocks, front and rear sway bars, and CalTracs adjustable traction bars. The car is also equipped with power-assisted steering and electrically assisted four-wheel Wilwood disc brakes. A Classic Performance Products crossmember and subframe connectors have been installed.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in black vinyl complemented by a matching headliner, carpeting, and trim. Features include a Vintage Air climate-control system, power windows, power locks, a Viper alarm, a center console, and an aftermarket sound system with a Jensen VX3012 pop-up screen. The doorsill plates, visors, rearview mirror, and wipers have been replaced, and sound insulation has been installed in the doors.
An aftermarket steering wheel sits ahead of AutoMeter instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows just under 10k miles, approximately 2,500 of which have been added by the selling dealer. True mileage is unknown.
The trunk has been reupholstered, and the weatherstripping has been replaced. The Optima battery and a kill switch are mounted in the right-rear corner.
The fuel-injected 6.2-liter LS3 V8 is said to make use of a Holley oil pan, Kwik Performance accessory brackets, ceramic-coated exhaust headers that feed a dual exhaust system, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, and a Proform Perfect Launch differential cover has been installed.
