This 1966 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova coupe was acquired by the owner in 2012, and subsequent work consisted of installing a replacement Muncie four-speed manual transmission, wheels, tires, and suspension, exterior trim, brake, and interior components. The car is powered by a 283ci V8 and is finished in turquoise over turquoise vinyl upholstery. Features include a billet front grille, front coilovers, rear leaf springs, tubular upper and lower control arms, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, American Racing wheels, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an HEI distributor, a Hurst shifter, and a retro-style digital stereo. This Nova is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a Virginia title.
The body is finished in turquoise and is said to have been repainted under previous ownership. Features include a billet front grille, a fender-mounted antenna, chrome bumpers, dual mirrors, body-side moldings, and a dual outlet exhaust that exits behind the rear wheels. The headlamp surround trim and grille are said to have been replaced under current ownership, and the rear quarter panels are said to have been repaired previously.
The 17″ American Racing wheels are mounted with Sumitomo HTR ZIII tires measuring 215/45 up front and 235/45 out back. A full-size spare and jack are mounted in the trunk. The car has been fitted with front coilovers, rear leaf springs, tubular upper and lower control arms, and a replacement front subframe under current ownership. Braking is handled by power-assisted discs at all four corners.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats reupholstered in turquoise vinyl and joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a Hurst shifter, heater and defroster, polished door sills, lap belts, Nova-branded rubber floormats, and a retro-style digital stereo. The headliner, sail panels, door seals, door panels, and carpets are said to have been replaced under current ownership, and the interior and trunk floor were reportedly repainted.
The two-spoke steering wheel has a chrome horn ring and frames a column-mounted Mooneyes tachometer, a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, and a fuel gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 84k miles, approximately 4k of which have been added under current ownership.
The 283ci V8 features an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an HEI distributor, and a chrome air cleaner lid and Chevrolet-script valve covers.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a replacement Muncie four-speed manual transmission. An aftermarket dual exhaust system has been installed. Corrosion is visible on the front subframe.
The Virginia title lists a “Not Actual” mileage odometer brand.
