This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sport coupe was modified and refurbished before being sold on BaT in June 2021, and it was acquired by the current owner in January 2022. Power is provided by a 6.0-liter LS2 V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission, and modifications include TEN Factory axles, four-wheel disc brakes, 18″ American Racing wheels, high-performance suspension components, and an aluminum radiator with electric fans. The car was repainted metallic gray, and the cabin was refurbished with a TMI Products black vinyl and microsuede kit as well as air conditioning, Dakota Digital gauges, and a hidden Bluetooth-enabled stereo system. This modified Malibu is offered on dealer consignment in Delaware with a clean Pennsylvania title.
The body was removed from the frame, repainted in a Peterbilt shade of metallic gray, and fitted with a replacement front grille, headlight bezels, door handles, bumpers, glass, and vent window weatherstripping along with a cowl induction hood and LED lighting. The badging and emblems have been removed. Exterior imperfections include a crack around the driver’s door handle, a paint bubble on the right rocker panel, and scratches in the rear window.
American Racing 18″ wheels feature black centers and polished lips, and they are mounted with staggered-width Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires with 2020 and 2021 production date codes. The suspension is modified with tubular front control arms, Currectrac rear control arms, Hotchkis steering components, SPC springs, and rear VariShocks. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with a Wilwood master cylinder, braided lines, Corvette-branded front calipers, and drilled/slotted rotors, and a line lock is installed.
The seats and door panels were reupholstered in black vinyl and microsuede using an interior kit from TMI Products. Appointments include a Vintage Air GenIV air conditioning system, a center console, a push-button starter, and a hidden Bluetooth-enabled stereo system.
The tilting three-spoke steering wheel fronts a Dakota Digital gauge cluster with a speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary readouts. The odometer shows 4,200 miles. Total mileage is unknown. The fuel level gauge is not accurate.
The cowl induction hood opens to reveal a smoothed firewall and a 6.0-liter LS2 V8 that was installed in 2020. The engine is said to have been sourced from a 2005 Pontiac GTO and it is equipped with a body-color intake pipe and an aluminum Derale radiator with electric fans. The tubular exhaust headers flow through an H-pipe and chambered mufflers, and the outlets turn down ahead of the rear wheels.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle with a limited-slip differential and TEN Factory axles.
The car is titled under the Kansas-assigned VIN 136176K194096 as displayed above.
