This 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS coupe is powered by a 327ci V8 mated to a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and finished in red over white vinyl. Equipment includes 15″ American Racing wheels, power steering, four-wheel drum brakes, chrome bumpers, air conditioning, a Hurst shifter, and a Jensen AM/FM/CD cassette stereo. The car was refurbished prior to 2006 when the seller first purchased it. They subsequently sold it in 2013 and then reacquired it in 2022. This Impala SS is now offered with manufacturer’s literature and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.
Originally yellow with a black vinyl roof, the car was repainted in red during previous ownership. Features include chrome bumpers, quad headlamps, bright trim, Super Sport badging, and dual side mirrors.
Polished 15” American Racing wheels are mounted with 235/60 front and 255/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires that show 2012 date codes. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes.
The cabin has been reupholstered in white diamond-quilted vinyl with black carpets. The car is equipped with air conditioning, and additional appointments include a console-mounted analog clock, a Hurst shifter, rubber floor mats, and a Jensen AM/FM/CD cassette stereo. A missing button on the driver’s seat has been reattached, and the seller states that the air conditioning refrigerant was recharged in late 2022.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer flanked by a combination gauge and a manifold vacuum gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 45k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 327ci V8 is said to be equipped with an aftermarket camshaft and is fitted with a black air cleaner, black valve covers, and a high-torque starter. The seller reports that recent service included installing the chrome alternator and replacing the battery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. The car is equipped with a 3″ dual exhaust system. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.
