This 1965 Chevrolet Impala is a blue-over-blue example that was purchased new at TPL Motor Company in Clinton, North Carolina, and was acquired by the seller in 2021. The car is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission, and additional equipment includes blue 15″ steel wheels, dual side mirrors, quadruple headlights, a retro-style head unit, and a 10-disc CD changer. Work under current ownership included adding power steering and front disc brakes as well as replacing the spark plugs, battery, alternator, and regulator. This Impala is offered with factory build sheets, a Protect-O-Plate, manufacturer’s literature, recent service records, car show trophies, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The car left the factory finished in Danube Blue and was repainted under previous ownership. Details include dual side mirrors, quadruple headlights, and dual exhaust outlets exiting behind the rear wheels. Close-up photos of the paint and trim can be seen in the gallery.
Blue 15″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and 235/60 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. Power steering and front disc brakes were installed under current ownership. The seller states a set of uninstalled 14″ wheels and hubcaps will accompany the car.
The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in blue vinyl with contrasting inserts. Appointments include woodgrain dashboard trim, a clock, a retro-style head unit, and a 10-disc CD changer.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a fuel gauge, and warning lights. The mechanical odometer shows 83k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 327ci V8 was factory rated at 300 horsepower and sends power to the rear wheels via a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission. Work since 2022 included replacing the battery, alternator, regulator, and spark plugs, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
