This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS is powered by a 396ci V8 paired with a replacement four-speed manual transmission and has been refinished in white over a black vinyl interior. Additional features include a front spoiler, Rallye wheels, a Global West suspension kit, a Hurst shifter, a Grant steering wheel, an aftermarket stereo, an electronic ignition system, and an Edelbrock intake manifold. This Malibu has been with the seller for 11 years and is offered with parts receipts, non-operational California registration, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The seller states that the quarter panels were replaced and other rust was repaired prior to a repaint in the current white. Exterior features include SS emblems, a front spoiler, and blacked-out trim on the grille and taillight panel. The hood is said to be in need of adjustment.
Rallye wheels wear chrome hubcaps and trim rings, and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The suspension has been modified using a kit from Global West including tubular upper and lower front control arms. The car is equipped with power-assisted brakes, and the seller states that it is in need of a wheel alignment.
The interior features black vinyl front bucket seats with matching door panels and replacement carpets. The car was previously equipped with an automatic transmission, and a Hurst shifter has been added along with a Grant steering wheel.
Auxiliary oil pressure and coolant temperature gauges are mounted under the dash along with a Pioneer stereo, which has not been wired. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 47k miles, though the speedometer is disconnected and total mileage is unknown.
The 396ci V8 is shown running in the video above and features an electronic ignition system as well as a replacement carburetor with an Edelbrock intake manifold and a matching air cleaner.
Power is sent to the rear wheels though a replacement four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt Positraction differential. Additional underbody photos can be seen in the gallery, and a walk-around video with an interior tour is provided below.
