1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Sport Coupe 409 4-Speed

This 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Sport Coupe is refinished in Daytona Blue over blue vinyl and is powered by a rebuilt 409ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes quad headlights, chrome bumpers and trim, front disc brakes, 15″ American Racing wheels, a heavy-duty suspension, front bucket seats, a center console, manual-crank windows, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and a heater. This Impala SS was purchased by the current owner in 2019 and is now offered by the seller on their behalf with spare parts and a clean North Carolina title in the current owner’s name.

The car was refinished in Daytona Blue under previous ownership, and styling incorporates chrome bumpers as well as bright trim and headlight surrounds. Other features include quad headlights, Impala SS badging, and a recessed tail panel. Close-up photos of the exterior are shown in the gallery.

The 15″ American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are mounted with 225/70 front and 255/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. SS examples were fitted with a heavy-duty suspension that included revised front and rear coil springs and shock absorbers. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes.

The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in blue vinyl and replacement carpeting. Appointments include vent windows, engine-turned metal trim, a center console, manual-crank windows, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and a heater.

The 409ci L33 Turbo-Fire V8 was factory rated at 340 horsepower and is equipped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. The engine was reportedly rebuilt at Lamar Walden Automotive of Atlanta, Georgia.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The reverse-gear lockout does not work.
