This 1964 Chevrolet Chevy II 100 is a two-door sedan that was built in the style of a gasser drag car and is powered by a replacement 383ci V8 paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. The car was acquired by the seller in 2016 and repainted green in 2020. Additional work completed under current ownership consisted of tubbing the rear wheel wells and installing the engine, a 10-bolt rear axle with a Positraction differential, a straight front axle, front disc brakes, an aluminum radiator, and a RAM clutch. Additional equipment includes 15″ wheels, side decals, green and white upholstery, a Hurst shifter, a dash-mounted Sunpro tachometer, and AutoMeter auxiliary gauges. This Chevy II is offered with dyno results and New York registration.
The rear wheel wells were tubbed before the body was repainted in its current shade of Emerald Green under current ownership in 2020. Equipment includes chrome bumpers, side decals, a front-mounted fuel tank, a driver-side mirror, a battery disconnect switch, and a Magnaflow 3″ dual exhaust system. The front-mounted auxiliary fuel tank is decorative and not plumbed.
The 15″ wheels wear 185/60 tires up front and 26×10.5 Mickey Thompson drag radials out back. Braking is handled by front disc brakes and rear drums, and the front suspension features a solid axle along with a raised ride height in the style of a gasser drag car.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in green and white vinyl with matching door panels. Equipment includes a fire extinguisher, floor-mounted Hurst shifter, rearview mirror, heater, and vent windows.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a Chevrolet-logo center emblem and fronts a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge. A 10k-rpm Sunpro Super Tach III and shift light are installed along with a trio of AutoGauge instruments displaying oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows under 57k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 383ci stroker V8 was installed under current ownership in 2017 and is equipped a Holley carburetor, chrome valve covers, and ceramic-coated Doug’s headers. An aluminum radiator has been installed. The oil was changed in the spring of 2022. Engine dyno results from July 2016 are provided in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission that was reportedly rebuilt and a Chevrolet 10-bolt axle with an Auburn Positraction differential and Richmond gears. A RAM muscle car clutch and flywheel are reportedly installed.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its registration.
