This 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS sport coupe was refurbished under prior ownership and reportedly remained with the prior owners for approximately three decades before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2022. The 283ci V8 was overbored and rebuilt in 2023. The car is finished in dark blue over blue vinyl and equipped with a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission, 14″ Rally wheels, light blue vinyl upholstery, a center console, a Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, and a dual exhaust system with Thrush mufflers. This Malibu SS hardtop is now offered with an assembly manual, wiring diagrams, and a clean Indiana title.
The car left the factory finished in Palomar Red and was refinished in dark blue under prior ownership. Features include T-3-branded headlights, rear bumper guards, and Malibu SS badging.
The 14″ Rally-style steel wheels are mounted with G70-14 Firestone redline tires. The car is equipped with power steering as well as a front and rear coil-spring suspension, and stopping power is provided by front and rear drums.
The front bucket seats and rear bench were reupholstered in blue vinyl with coordinated door panels and carpets under prior ownership. The seller states that chrome dash trim and the door arm rests were replaced in 2024. Equipment includes a center console, a push-button AM radio, and lap belts.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, a combination gauge, and an array of warning lights. The five-digit odometer shows 18k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 283ci V8 was overbored .020″ and rebuilt using an L79-specification camshaft and “Power Pack” cylinder heads in 2023 according to the seller. It is equipped with a Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, and the dual exhaust system utilizes Thrush mufflers.
