This 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sport coupe was produced at the Van Nuys General Motors facility in California and underwent a refurbishment prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2013. The work is said to have included a repaint in blue and refreshment of the interior as well as rebuilds of its 283ci Turbo-Fire V8 and two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes an aluminum radiator, air conditioning, a CD player, and lap belts. This Chevelle is offered with service records, black California license plates, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
This hardtop was finished in Medium Aqua (918) from the factory, and was repainted under previous ownership according to the seller. Details include a pillarless roof, retractable rear quarter windows, and dual side mirrors.
Color-matched Rallye wheels wear chrome trim rings, hubcaps, and 14″ BFGoodrich Radial T/A rubber. A full-size spare with a Winston tire is located in the trunk. Braking is from unassisted drums with a single-circuit master cylinder.
The monochromatic aqua interior treatment encompasses the twin bench seats, door panels, padded dashboard, and replacement carpeting. Amenities include an under-dash air conditioning unit, a retro-style radio in the dash, a Sony CD player in the glovebox, and lap belts for the front and rear occupants.
