This 1963 Chevrolet Nova wagon is powered by a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 paired with a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission and has been further modified with a white over red color scheme, independent front suspension, a 4-link rear end, long-tube exhaust headers, power steering and front disc brakes, front bucket seats, air conditioning, a custom sound system, and more. The work took place under previous ownership in Alabama, from where the car was purchased by the seller in 2017 and driven home to California. This Nova is now offered with recent service records, build photos, factory literature, black California license plates, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The refurbishment under previous ownership includes paintwork in Ford white, and photos in the gallery below show the work in various stages of completion. The car is equipped with Truck-Lite LED headlights and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes poor alignment of the front passenger door near the A-pillar.
Black powder-coated 16″ steel wheels wear dog dish hubcaps and Goodyear Eagle GT tires measuring 225/50 front and 215/60 rear. Modifications include an independent front suspension subframe from TCI along with RideTech coilovers, a RideTech 4-link rear end, a Wilwood dual-circuit brake master cylinder, and powered rack and pinion steering. A brake fluid flush was performed in 2018.
The interior features replacement front seats upholstered in red fabric and vinyl along with a matching rear bench and carpets. A custom wood center console and armrests have been installed.
A Vintage Air air conditioning system and remote battery disconnect are equipped. Gauges from Classic Instruments include a 6-digit odometer showing 13k miles, 5k of which were added by the seller. Total chassis mileage is unknown.
The rear cargo area contains a wood floor as well as a 10″ JL Audio subwoofer and two box speakers, while the Custom Autosound USA-230 receiver located up front includes auxiliary input and is also connected to speakers in the door panels.
The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was reportedly sourced from a 70k-mile 1998 Chevrolet Camaro and installed by a previous owner along with a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission. Other equipment includes Stainless Works long-tube headers feeding MagnaFlow mufflers, an Entropy radiator with dual fans, a Speartech wiring harness, a rear-mounted Optima Redtop battery, and a 16-gallon stainless steel fuel tank from Rick’s. An oil change was performed approximately six months ago per the seller.
Factory literature, recent service records, and photos documenting the build are included in the sale. The seller reports that the car participated in a portion of the 2013 Hot Rod Power Tour.
