This 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS sport coupe underwent a refurbishment that involved a repaint in yellow with a white roof, an interior retrim, and installation of a four-corner air suspension system as well as a 383ci stroker V8 linked with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. The engine has been fitted with a bladed air scoop, an Edelbrock high-rise intake manifold, dual Weber four-barrel carburetors, and Dart Pro 1 cylinder heads along with shorty-style exhaust headers emptying into a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. On the inside, the front bucket seats and rear bench have been reupholstered in gray velour and are accompanied by a digital stereo wired to dual amplifiers and aftermarket speakers. Further equipment includes a Hurst shifter, power steering, power front disc brakes, and Rally-style 15″ wheels. The car was acquired by the owner in 2022, and subsequent work consisted of performing an engine tune-up and oil change as well as installing an aluminum radiator with dual electric cooling fans. This Impala SS is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a clean Florida title.
The car left the factory finished in Palomar Maroon (948) and was repainted in yellow with a white roof under previous ownership. Exterior details include an engine-turned aluminum tail panel and side moldings along with quad headlights, triple taillight groupings, dual rear antennas, polished trim, and chrome-finished bumpers. A battery cut-off switch is mounted to the rear bumper.
The Rally-style 15″ wheels wear chrome trim rings as well as spinner center caps and are mounted with Sigma Regent Touring tires up front and Mastercraft Avenger G/T rubber out back. The car rides on an Air Ride Technologies air suspension system and is equipped with power steering. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in gray velour upholstery and accompanied by color-coordinated flame-pattern door panels. Engine-turned aluminum trim accents the dash, which houses a digital media receiver connected to dual trunk-mounted amplifiers and six aftermarket speakers. A Hurst shifter exits from the floor and sits behind an air suspension toggle switch panel with air pressure gauges displaying front and rear air pressure.
The 383ci stroker V8 was installed under prior ownership and features a bladed air scoop, an Edelbrock high-rise intake manifold, dual Weber four-barrel carburetors, Dart Pro 1 cylinder heads, MSD ignition components, shorty-style exhaust headers, and chrome dress-up components. An oil change and engine tune-up are said to have been performed in 2023, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric puller fans was fitted in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. A dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers has been fitted.
