This 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova SS sport coupe is finished in Silver Blue over blue vinyl and powered by a 194ci inline-six paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Equipment includes air conditioning, power steering, a floor-mounted shifter, 14″ color-matched steel wheels with full covers, white stripe tires, and SS badging. The car is said to have been owned by the same family in Southern California from new until the seller’s acquisition in 2011, after which the car was added to the seller’s museum collection. Service completed in 2021 included replacement of the carburetor, alternator, exhaust system, voltage regulator, battery, spark plug wires, and the distributor cap and rotor. This Nova SS was listed on BaT in January 2021 and is offered again with a factory jack, yellow-on-black California license plates, and a clean California title in the name of the seller’s museum.
The car was refinished in its factory Silver Blue under previous ownership and features chrome bumpers, a polished side mirror, body-side moldings, rocker trim, a silver rear fascia, and Nova SS badging on the rear quarter panels and trunk lid. The car wears yellow-on-black California plates and the seller notes touch-ups around the body.
Color-keyed 14″ steel wheels wear full covers with simulated knock-offs and SS logos as well as 195/75 Sun Valley thin whitewall tires. A spare wheel and tire are stored in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking power is supplied by unassisted drums at all four corners that are said to have been serviced earlier in 2021. An alignment was performed in preparation for sale.
The cabin features seats trimmed in blue vinyl with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include split front seats with a center console, a floor-mounted shifter, and factory air conditioning that received service under current ownership. A tear in the driver’s seat bottom was repaired, and a Delco AM radio with Civil Defense CONELRAD markings powers on, but does not receive any stations.
The 194ci inline-six is equipped with a single carburetor and was factory rated at 120 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. Service in preparation for sale is said to have included replacement of the carburetor, alternator, exhaust system, voltage regulator, battery, spark plug wires, and the distributor cap and rotor.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Damage to the engine oil pan is visible, and additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.
