This 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova SS was refinished in orange with a reupholstered two-tone tan interior under previous ownership before being acquired by the seller in 2019. Power is provided by a replacement 496ci V8 paired to a three-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9″ rear axle. Additional modifications include an MSD Atomic EFI system, four-wheel disc brakes, 17″ American Racing wheels, an aftermarket air conditioning system, a Grant steering wheel, a B&M shifter, and an updated stereo system. Service reportedly performed in 2022 included replacing the power steering pump and changing the oil. This modified Nova is now offered with a clean Texas title.
The car was factory finished in Ermine White, and a color change to orange is said to have been performed four years ago. Exterior features include chrome bumpers and trim, a slatted front grille, and SS badging. The seller notes chips and paint cracks around the body.
Chrome-finished 17″ American Racing wheels are mounted with Nitto NT01 tires. The suspension features TCI components and the braking system is modified with discs at each corner. The aftermarket rack-and-pinion power steering system is said to have been serviced with a replacement pump under current ownership.
The interior features low-back bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in two-tone tan vinyl and cloth with tan carpets and door panels. Modifications include an air conditioning system, a B&M shifter, and a Grant steering wheel. Updated audio components consist of kick-panel-mounted speakers and a pair of Kicker subwoofers mounted inside the trunk. The driver-side window regulator functions intermittently and a fuel odor is noted in the cabin at times.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 62k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 496ci V8 features an MSD Atomic electronic fuel injection system, an aluminum radiator, and a March Performance serpentine belt setup.
A three-speed automatic transmission routes power through a Ford 9″ rear axle. Additional underbody photographs are provided in the gallery below.
