This 1962 Chevrolet Impala is a four-door station wagon that is finished in blue and white over aqua vinyl upholstery and powered by a replacement 409ci V8 mated with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Equipment includes a chrome roof rack, an air ride suspension, power steering, front disc brakes, staggered Billet Specialties wheels, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an aluminum radiator, a dual exhaust system, and Flowmaster mufflers. The car was acquired by the selling dealer in 2014, and subsequent work consisted of installing the replacement engine. This Impala station wagon is now offered with a clean Missouri title.
The body is finished in Twilight Blue with a white roof and side spears, and the car is said to have been repainted under previous ownership. Equipment includes a chrome roof rack, a curved windshield, an aluminum tail panel, polished rocker trim, quad headlamps, chrome bumpers, and a dual side-outlet exhaust system. There are paint bubbles on the right rear door, right rear lower quarter panel, and along the roof drip rail. Paint, chrome blemishes, and corrosion on the bottom of the doors are shown in the gallery.
Staggered Billet Specialties wheels are mounted with Ironman iMove Gen 2 AS tires. The car is equipped with a two-channel air ride suspension, a trunk-mounted air tank and air compressor, and power steering. Braking is handled by unassisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features two rows of bench seats upholstered in aqua diamond-stitched vinyl joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, cargo area, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes vent windows, polished door sills, and aluminum dashboard accents. The heat, radio, and dome lights do not work.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontally sweeping 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 80k miles, approximately 15k of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 409ci V8 is said to have been installed by the selling dealer and features an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Mallory electronic ignition, an aluminum radiator, MSD ignition wires, and finned Offenhauser valve covers. An oil change was performed in 2022.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.
