This 1962 Chevrolet Impala Sport Sedan is said to have remained registered to its original owner before it was acquired by the seller’s father-in-law in 1995, and it now shows 44k miles. The car is finished in Autumn Gold over Fawn vinyl upholstery and powered by a 283ci V8 paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Equipment includes power-assisted brakes, 14″ steel wheels, chrome bumpers, and a Delco AM radio. The car is a running project that will require further fuel system work. This Impala is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of their father-in-law with a clean Minnesota title.
The car is finished in Autumn Gold and equipped with a curved windshield, a left-side mirror, and chrome bumpers. The seller states that the windshield wipers and left headlights are inoperative. Dents on the trunk and right-rear door are visible along with corrosion on the trailing corners of the front fenders.
The 14″ steel wheels wear full covers and are mounted with 205/70 LTD Touring Premium 1011 whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted drum brakes at all four corners.
The bench seats are upholstered in Fawn vinyl with striped inserts and button-tufted backrests, while bright metal trim accents the cabin. A Delco push-button AM radio is mounted in the dashboard. Wear on interior surfaces as well as corrosion in the trunk are shown in images provided in the gallery.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 44k miles, approximately 5k of which were added during current ownership.
The 283ci V8 was factory rated at 170 horsepower and is equipped with a two-barrel carburetor. The seller notes a lifter noise and states that the fuel line is restricted, and the car does not run without an external fuel supply.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Corrosion is visible on underbody components, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery.
