This 1961 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe was acquired by the seller’s father in 2023, reportedly from the family of the original owner following a stalled refurbishment and a period of disuse. Subsequent work involved servicing the triple carburetors of the 348ci V8 and replacing the fuel tank. Finished in Almond Beige and Fawn Beige over a coordinated two-tone interior, the car is equipped wiht a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, power steering, power-assisted drum brakes, and 14″ steel wheels with polished covers. This Impala is now offered with a Washington title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Almond Beige and Fawn Beige, and styling incorporates chrome bumpers as well as bright trim and headlight surrounds, quad headlights, and a recessed tail panel. Blemishes include a dent on the hood and on the left fender, and paintwork under prior ownership is noted.
Steel 14″ wheels wear polished covers and are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted drum brakes at all four corners.
The cabin houses bench seating upholstered in Fawn cloth and vinyl. Appointments include vent windows, metal trim accents, manual-crank windows, and a heater. The air conditioning does not work.
The two-tone two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges indicating coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 97k miles, approximately 150 of which were added under current ownership.
The 348ci V8 is equipped with triple two-barrel carburetors, which the seller states were serviced in 2024 and require further adjustment. Additional work included replacing the fuel tank and lines as well as the exhaust manifold bolts.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.
