This 1958 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe is finished in blue over color-keyed upholstery and is powered by a 283ci V8 paired with a two-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 14” wheels, front disc brakes, a dual exhaust system, and a retro-style digital media receiver. The car was repainted several decades ago and was acquired by the seller out of long-term ownership in 2023. This Impala is now offered at no reserve with a workshop manual and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The two-spoke steering wheel has a chrome horn ring and frames a sweeping 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 19k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
The cabin is trimmed in blue, and the bench seats feature tri-tone cloth inserts. The retro-style digital media receiver and clock are inoperative. Discoloration on the blue carpets can be viewed in the gallery.
The 283ci Turbo Fire V8 is equipped with a two-barrel Rochester carburetor and a dual exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers. An oil change was performed within the last year.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission that is said to have been rebuilt under prior ownership.
Body-color 14” steel wheels wear full covers and are mounted with 215/75 Coker Classic whitewall tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by front discs and rear drums with a CPP master cylinder. The front ball joints, control arm bushings, and grease fittings are said to have been replaced in 2021.
The Impala debuted in 1958 and featured a pillarless coupe design with quadruple headlights, wraparound front and rear glass, chrome side spears, and faux vents on the roof and sides. This example left the factory finished in Silver Blue with an Arctic White roof (930A) and was repainted more than 25 years ago, per the seller. Weatherstripping was also replaced under prior ownership. Paint chips and blemishes around the car are shown up close in the gallery.
