This 1958 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe is powered by a 348ci V8 paired with a two-speed automatic transmission and reportedly underwent a body-off refurbishment completed in 2020. Work included repainting the body turquoise with a white top, retrimming the green vinyl and tri-color cloth interior, rebuilding the engine, transmission, and brakes, and replacing the exhaust system, tires, wiring harnesses, and fuel tank. Equipment includes triple two-barrel carburetors, 14″ steel wheels with full covers, whitewall tires, power steering and brakes, chrome trim, a wraparound windshield and rear window, and a push-button AM radio. This Impala was acquired by the current owner in 2012 and is now offered in Canada by the seller on behalf of the current owner with Ontario registration.
The body is finished turquoise with a white top and was reportedly repainted under current ownership in 2020. Features include bright accents on the bumpers, side molding, window surrounds, grille, and light surrounds as well as dual antennas, quadruple headlamps, side mirrors, tail fins, a wraparound windshield and rear window, and a dual exhaust system. The exhaust system and headlights were replaced, and the trim was rechromed as part of the refurbishment, according to the seller.
The 14″ steel wheels wear full covers with faux knockoff spinners along with whitewall tires. The car is equipped with power steering along with power-assisted four-wheel drum brakes. Work completed as part of the 2020 refurbishment reportedly includes rebuilding the brakes, installing stainless steel brake lines, and replacing the tie rods, suspension bushings, ball joints, and tires.
The front and rear bench seating were retrimmed in green vinyl with tri-color cloth inserts as part of the refurbishment. Bright trim lines the dashboard, and additional equipment includes rubber floor mats, vent windows, a heater, and a push-button AM radio.
The green and turquoise-rimmed steering wheel features a full horn ring and fronts a 120-mph speedometer and gauges displaying coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 2k miles traveled since the refurbishment was completed. Total mileage is unknown.
The 348ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt as part of the refurbishment and is fitted with three two-barrel carburetors. Additional work completed at that time reportedly involved replacing the fuel tank and wiring harnesses along with installing stainless steel fuel lines. The oil was changed in September 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a two-speed automatic transmission that was rebuilt as part of the refurbishment, according to the seller.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a province that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on expired Ontario registration.
