1957 Chevrolet Handyman Station Wagon

This 1957 Chevrolet Handyman is a two-door station wagon that is said to have undergone a refurbishment prior to its acquisition by the selling dealer last year. Finished in red over a white interior, the car is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a Hydramatic four-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes air conditioning, power-assisted steering, a digital push-button AM/FM stereo, 17” Ridler wheels, and front disc brakes. This Handyman wagon is being offered in Oxford, Mississippi with a clean Missouri title.

The exterior was reportedly repainted red and fitted with a replacement grill, bumpers, side-view mirrors, door handles, taillight lenses, and rubber seals during the aforementioned refurbishment. Various paint imperfections can be seen in detail in the gallery below.

The 17” Ridler wheels feature faux-knock-off spinners and are finished in gray with polished spokes and lips. The Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires are sized 205/55 up front and 235/55 out back, and stopping power is provided by front discs with rear drums. The tie rods, brake rotors, and calipers are said to have been replaced.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in white vinyl with matching door panels and contrasting red carpets. Red lap belts are fitted for all occupants, and amenities include a custom center console with a storage box and dual cupholders, under-dash air conditioning, and a digital push-button AM/FM cassette radio.

A red two-spoke steering wheel with a chrome horn ring fronts a body-colored steel dashboard that houses a central Classic Instruments combination gauge featuring a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and displays for voltage and oil pressure. The mechanical six-digit odometer shows just over 1k miles, around 100 of which have been added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.

The 350ci V8 features orange Chevrolet-branded valve covers, a polished air cleaner cover, and an aluminum radiator. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a floor-shifted 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission equipped with a Lokar shifter.
