This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is a two-door hardtop that was modified during previous ownership and acquired by the seller in summer 2020. The car is finished in black with a red interior, and power comes from a replacement 5.3-liter V8 paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Other modifications are said to include a custom frame with independent front and rear suspension, coilovers, rack-and-pinion steering, power-assisted front and rear disc brakes, aftermarket 18″ chrome wheels, tubular headers, a custom intake plenum, polished valve covers, an aluminum radiator, aftermarket digital instrumentation, and an updated heater. The seller states that tune-up components have been replaced in preparation for the sale. This modified Bel Air is now offered in California with spare parts and a clean Indiana title.
The pillarless hardtop body is said to have been refinished in black during previous ownership and features bright rocker panels and side trim, aftermarket headlights, a dual-exit exhaust, and a chrome-finished grille, side mirrors, and bumpers.
Aftermarket 18″ wheels are finished in chrome and are mounted with Nexen N3000 tires measuring 255/45. Braking is handled by power-assisted four wheel discs with Corvette-branded front calipers, and the custom frame features independent front and rear suspension with adjustable coilovers and rack-and-pinion steering.
The interior features front and rear bench seats trimmed in red vinyl with patterned cloth inserts and matching door panels with black carpets. Amenities consist of an aftermarket heater, wind-up side windows, chrome and bright-finished trim, an analog clock, and Bel Air-branded floor mats.
A black two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames aftermarket digital instrumentation that measures vehicle speed, oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 1k, a handful of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The fuel-injected 5.3-liter V8 is fitted with tubular headers, polished valve covers, a custom intake plenum and tubing, and an aluminum radiator. Tune-up components are said to have been replaced in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. Additional underside images are included in the photo gallery below.
