This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is a hardtop four-door sport sedan that was acquired by the seller’s father out of Pennsylvania in 1997. Power is provided by a 283ci V8 backed by a two-speed automatic transmission. Maintenance performed in recent months is said to have included an ignition tune-up, rebuilding the carburetor, servicing the transmission, and changing the oil. This Bel Air is now offered by the son of the current owner with period literature and a clean Pennsylvania title in the current owner’s name.
The body was finished in Coronado Yellow with an India Ivory (814) roof treatment from the factory, and it was repainted in these colors in 2006 according to the seller. Styling features include an integrated front bumper and grille, twin windsplits mounted atop the hood, and skirts for the rear wheel openings.

The interior features black carpeting, a gray-painted dashboard, as well as a two-tone black and silver (670) color scheme on the front and rear bench seats, door panels, and rear side panels.
The metal dashboard houses a 120-mph speedometer and an AM radio. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 66k miles. The seller notes a leak from the heater core.
The 283ci “Turbo-Fire” V8 is topped with a single two-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 185 horsepower when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Per the seller, work completed within the past six months has included an ignition tune-up, carburetor rebuild, transmission service, and an oil change.
