This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air four-door hardtop sedan was acquired by the current owner in 2006 and is finished in Sierra Gold and Adobe Beige over a beige, gray, and black interior. Power is from a 283ci V8 mated to a Turbo-Hydramatic three-speed automatic transmission, and additional features include an Edelbrock carburetor, continental kit, power steering, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, an aftermarket stereo with a 10-disc CD changer, and 14” steel wheels with chrome covers. This Bel Air is being offered by the seller on behalf of their father with a Washington title.
Finished from the factory in Adobe Beige and Sierra Gold (818), the car is said to have been repainted some time ago. Exterior details include dual rear-mounted antennas, gold-finished Bel Air badging, and dual side-view mirrors.
Body-color 14” steel wheels wear chrome covers with faux knock-offs and are mounted with 215/70 BFGoodrich Premier whitewall tires. A full-size spare is found in the continental kit out back. Braking is through power-assisted four-wheel discs, and 2″ drop spindles have reportedly been added.
The cabin houses two rows of bench seats that are trimmed in beige, copper, and black vinyl and fabric upholstery. Matching door panels and copper carpets are fitted, and amenities include floor mats, 605 power steering, lap belts for all occupants, an under-dash tissue dispenser, an analog clock, and an aftermarket stereo wired to a 10-disc CD changer located in the trunk.
A two-spoke steering wheel with a chrome horn ring is mounted to a tilt steering column and sits ahead of a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary displays. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 66k miles, around 500 of which have been added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 283ci V8 is equipped with an Edelbrock intake manifold and four-barrel carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels via a Turbo-Hydramatic three-speed automatic transmission. The engine is equipped with an alternator and a HEI ignition system. A leak from the transmission is noted by the seller.
