1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door hardtop was manufactured at GM’s Van Nuys, California, assembly plant and is finished in red over red and black upholstery. Power comes from a 283ci V8 paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, and additional equipment includes Bel Air trim, whitewall tires, a heater, and an AM radio. The car was repainted and reupholstered under previous ownership and subsequently acquired by the selling dealer in March 2021, after which the carburetor was cleaned and adjusted and the wheel bearings were replaced. This Bel Air is now offered with recent repair records and a clean Texas title.

This pillarless coupe left the factory in Onyx black (793) was refinished in red under prior ownership. Details include silver beauty panels, a single antenna, dual wind splits on the hood, a driver’s side chrome mirror, and a single exhaust outlet.

Steel 14″ wheels wear polished covers and are wrapped in whitewall tires. The car has power four-wheel drum brakes, and the wheel bearings were recently replaced according to the selling dealer.

The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in red vinyl with black patterned cloth inserts and matching door panels along with black carpeting. Amenities include a heater, a locking glovebox, a dashboard clock, black rubber floor mats, and a push-button AM radio.

A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a column shift lever, a 120-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer displays 3k miles, a handful of which have been added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.

The 283ci V8 features Chevrolet-script valve covers and an oil-bath style air cleaner. The carburetor was recently cleaned and adjusted, and the oil was changed according to the selling dealer.
