This 1957 Chevrolet 150 is a two-door Sedan Delivery model that was refurbished and modified during prior ownership. The exterior was refinished in Tropical Turquoise, the bucket seats were reupholstered with patterned black and white cloth, and a 348ci V8 and four-speed automatic transmission were fitted. Additional modifications include Offenhauser valve covers, three two-barrel Rochester carburetors, Classic Performance Products power steering, front disc brakes, 18″ Coys wheels, front coilover suspension, and rear air shocks. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2019, this modified 150 Sedan Delivery is now offered with a matching turquoise ice chest, a 1957 highway atlas, a custom car cover, a scale model, and a clean North Carolina title.
The body was repainted its current turquoise finish in 2012 during prior ownership. Exterior features include tinted glass as well as chrome bumpers, mirrors, and trim.
Coys 18″ chrome five-spoke wheels wear Chevrolet-logo center caps and are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires. The suspension has been upgraded with coilover shocks up front along with a sway bar, and air shocks are equipped out back with leaf springs. A Classic Performance Products power-steering system was installed during current ownership, and braking is handled by front discs and rear drums combined with a dual master cylinder.
The bucket seats are upholstered with black and white patterned cloth surfaces and black vinyl on the backs and sides, and are complemented by matching door panels, black-coated flooring, and a two-tone dashboard. Equipment includes a locking glove box, heater, sun visors, and electric windshield wipers.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a centrally mounted 120-mph speedometer, a coolant temperature gauge, and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows just under 900 miles, which is said to represent mileage since the refurbishment. Total chassis mileage is unknown.
The Sedan Delivery model is equipped with a lift-up rear tailgate and no rear windows or rear seats. A jack and spare wheel and tire are stored beneath the wooden load floor and shown in the gallery below.
The replacement 348ci V8 features finned Offenhauser valve covers and three two-barrel Rochester carburetors. The most recent reported service was conducted in February 2017 and included a fluid check and oil and filter change.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 700R four-speed automatic transmission with a 3.73:1 axle ratio. A dual exhaust system is also fitted, and additional underside images are presented in the gallery.
A matching turquoise ice chest and a 1957 Gousha American Highway Atlas are also included in the sale, along with a scale model and a custom car cover shown in the gallery below.
