This 1957 Chevrolet 150 two-door sedan was modified during previous ownership and is finished in blue with period NASCAR-style decals and hand-painted graphics. It is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission and is fitted with front disc brakes, a Hurst shifter, Hooker headers, a roll bar, and gray vinyl and cloth upholstery. Work performed prior to the seller’s 2020 purchase included the replacement of the wheels, tires, and suspension components. This 150 is now offered in Canada with Quebec registration in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in blue with a white roof and chrome bumpers. The headlights have been replaced with numbered covers, and the bodywork features decals along with hand-painted graphics on the hood, roof, trunk, fenders, quarter panels, and doors. The car is said to have been inspired by Buck Baker’s “Black Widow” Chevrolet that won the NASCAR championship in 1957.
The white-painted 15″ steel wheels wear 225/70 BFGoodrich Radial Long Trail T/A tires. The car is equipped with front disc brakes, and work performed during previous ownership is said to have included the installation of replacement suspension components and rear brakes.
The cabin features bench seats upholstered in replacement gray vinyl with patterned cloth inserts as well as matching door panels. A white-painted four-point roll bar is fitted behind the split front bench, and other features include a driver-side sun visor, front and rear lap belts, a rubber floor liner, and a floor-mounted Hurst shifter.
The steel dashboard is finished in black and silver and houses a central glovebox, while a trio of Mooneyes gauges are mounted below. The radio has been removed, and the two-spoke steering wheel is equipped with an aftermarket wrap and fronts a column-mounted Moon Eyes tachometer. The stock 120-mph speedometer houses a five-digit odometer showing 74k miles. True mileage is unknown.
The replacement 350ci V8 was installed during previous ownership, reportedly by CCR Technologie in Delson, Quebec, Canada. Equipment includes a chrome air filter housing and Hooker exhaust headers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission.
