This 1957 Chevrolet 150 is a two-door sedan that is said to have undergone refurbishment and modification prior to the previous owner’s acquisition of the car in the early 2000s, and it was refreshed upon the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2020. Finished in yellow over gray fabric upholstery, the car features modifications including an Edelbrock carburetor, an aluminum radiator, exhaust headers, Flowmaster mufflers, an electronic ignition, power brakes, Cragar wheels, bucket seats, a Lecarra steering wheel, and an aftermarket radio. Power is supplied by a small-block GM V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission, and service in the past year is said to have included rebuilding the carburetor, flushing the fuel system, refreshing the brakes and the underbody, and changing the oil. This ’57 Chevy is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean Michigan title.
The floor pans were partially replaced and the exterior was refinished in yellow during previous ownership. Features include bright body-side moldings and fin tips, white quarter-panel fills, hooded headlights, rocket hood ornaments with windsplits, and chrome bumpers. Chrome-finished 15″ Cragar S/S wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. A brake service performed by the selling dealer included disassembling and cleaning the drums and adjusting the shoes. The suspension is said to have been rebuilt with replacement springs under previous ownership.
The interior is upholstered in gray tweed with body-color accents, a matching headliner, color-coordinated door panels, and darker gray carpeting. Features include bucket seats, a package-shelf pad, Bel Air dashboard trim, a clock, and an updated aftermarket radio.
A leather-wrapped Lecarra steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer flanked by coolant-temperature and fuel-level gauges, and a trio of auxiliary gauges is mounted beneath the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 4k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added by the selling dealer; true mileage is unknown.
The small-block GM V8 is of pre-1987 vintage and is equipped with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an electronic ignition with an MSD control box, an aluminum radiator, and headers flowing into a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a remanufactured TH350 automatic transmission with a Hurst Indy shifter. Additional photos of the underbody can viewed in the gallery, the last seven of which were taken during a refresh of the underbody in October 2020.
