This 1956 Chevrolet 210 four-door wagon is powered by a 265ci V8 paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and finished in green and white over a matching interior. Features include a dashboard-mounted traffic-light viewer, window tinting, a cassette stereo, and chrome-finished wheels. The car reportedly received an exterior color change before being purchased by the seller in 2014, and subsequent service included replacement of the tires and an oil change. This Chevy 210 was previously listed on BaT in November 2020 by the seller and is now offered again with a surfboard and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The body was finished from the factory in two-tone India Ivory and Tropical Turquoise according to the trim tag, and it was repainted during previous ownership in the current two-tone green and white combination according to the seller. Areas of paint peeling and cracking on the roof and around the left-rear window can be seen in the gallery below, as are the car’s pinstripes, polished trim, split tailgate, and hidden fuel filler incorporated into the left tail-fin trim.
This is a re-list after the vehicle previously sold on BaT in March 2021 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winner has been banned from future participation on BaT and their buyer’s fee was not refunded.
Chrome-finished 15″ steel wheels are equipped with matching dog dish covers and are mounted with 205/75 GT Radial Touring VP Plus tires up front and a set of 235/75 Phantom A/P tires out back that display 2018 and 2019 date codes, respectively. The included surfboard is shown above and in the gallery.
Twin bench seats upholstered in white vinyl with textured green inserts are complemented by chrome trim on the dashboard, steering wheel, door panels, and window frames. Features include a period traffic-light viewer mounted atop the dashboard, a vintage-look cassette stereo, and supplemental gauges monitoring oil pressure and coolant temperature.
Factory instrumentation includes a 110-mph speedometer and a five-digit odometer showing 11k miles, approximately 2k of which were added by the seller. Actual mileage is unknown.
The 265ci V8 is topped by a single carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. An oil change was completed in 2020 according to the seller, who notes that the power-steering pump and steering box are leaking fluids and are in need of rebuilding.
