This 1956 Chevrolet 210 two-door sedan was acquired by the seller in 2018 following a 20-plus-year period of storage in a garage. A subsequent refurbishment that was completed in 2022 is said to have involved the installation of a 350ci V8 crate engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission as well as refinishing the body in red and white over black vinyl upholstery. Additional equipment includes late-model bucket seats, Dakota Digital gauges, aftermarket air conditioning, a Hurst shifter, American Racing 18″ wheels, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, a Hotchkis front suspension, rear air shocks, a limited-slip differential, Hooker headers, Edelbrock cylinder heads, and a Holley carburetor. This modified 210 is now offered with build records, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The car was finished from the factory in India Ivory and Pinecrest Green (705-C), and it was repainted in red and white with six coats of clear during the aforementioned refurbishment, according to the seller. Features include dual chrome mirrors, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers and trim. The stainless trim was buffed, the door, hood, and trunk jams were refinished, and the door hinges, door handles, glass, and weatherstripping were replaced along with the window felts, tracks, and regulators. A RainGear windshield-wiper system has been installed.
American Racing 18″ wheels are mounted with 245/50 Kumho Ecsta LX tires. Braking is provided by power-assisted discs at each corner and an aftermarket parking brake. Tubular front control arms from Hotchkis Sport Suspension have been adapted along with front and rear sway bars, rear air shocks, and power steering.
The cabin features power-adjustable late-model front bucket seats as well as a rear bench that are upholstered in black vinyl. Interior appointments include Vintage Air climate control, a Hurst shifter, and lap belts as well as a center console with cupholders. The carpeting and the locks have been replaced. The heater is not hooked up, and the vehicle does not have an audio system.
An aftermarket steering wheel is attached to a Ididit tilting column and fronts a suite of Dakota Digital instrumentation. The digital odometer shows 4,200 miles, which is said to reflect the distance accumulated since completion of the refurbishment; true mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 is said to be a GM crate engine that was installed in 2021 during the refurbishment. Equipment includes a Holley Brawler 750-cfm carburetor with mechanical secondaries plus an Edelbrock intake manifold, Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, a Lunati camshaft and lifters, Scorpion Racing Products rocker arms, an MSD distributor, a March Performance serpentine-belt system, a chrome-finished alternator, a high-torque starter, an aluminum radiator, an auxiliary electric cooling fan, a Holley electric fuel pump, Painless Performance wiring, and QuietRide hood insulation.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox that reportedly was sourced from Midwest Muncie and is paired with a heavy-duty clutch. The 10-bolt Positraction rear end contains 3.73:1 gears. Powdercoated Hooker headers feed a 2.5″ Flowmaster exhaust system with a crossover pipe.
