This 1955 Chevrolet Nomad was acquired by the seller’s father in 1962, reportedly from its original owner, and was inherited by the seller in 2019. Several refurbishments have been performed throughout the years, the most recent of which was carried out by Time Machine Motors of Redwood City, California in 1989. The work reportedly included new paint and interior reupholstery in black vinyl as well as installation of a 350ci ZZZ crate engine with aluminum cylinder heads, front disc brakes, American Racing wheels, auxiliary gauges, and more. This Nomad is offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
This two-door wagon was repainted in its current black with a silver roof in 1989 according to the seller. Features include chrome bumpers, wrap-around rear quarter windows, and a hinged tailgate with vertical slats. Photographs taken during various events are provided in the gallery below.
15″ American Racing Torq Thrust wheels wear 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and power-assisted disc brakes replace the standard drums up front.

The seller notes corrosion in the engine bay and on the underbody.
